Pick
up from hotel. Enjoy a scenic drive past idylic countryside
and up the mountainous Crocker Range to the interior highland
town of Tenom to reach Sabah Agricultural Park. Journey takes
approximately 3 hours.
Explore Park. This nature
gifted garden, beautifully landscaped and covers 1,500 acres
houses an extensive and fascinating collection of over 400
species of orchids, flowers and plants. 21 ornamental gardens
designed in various garden settings with exotic plants like
the Bourgainvillea Court, Hibiscus Garden, Oriental Garden
and Cactus Garden, just to name a few are found here.
Also, visit the Living Crop
Museum to view the variety of plants grown there which are
useful for their medicinal, spices, beverage, fibre fruit
and aromatic values. This area is divided into five sections
in line with the plants' uses like fruits and nuts trees,
spices & condiments garden, plants of commercial values,
medicinal plants and scented garden.
Lunch at Park Cafetaria. After
lunch, visit the Bee Research Centre where five out of the
nine species of bee of the world are found here.
Return to Kota Kinabalu.
